Job Title: Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV Work Arrangement: Onsite - Must report to Milford Proving Grounds or Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. Your Mission: In this role, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining test applications for GM Manufacturing sites. Your work will ensure vehicles are built and verified correctly across all assembly plants globally. Collaborating closely with product engineering, you will verify and validate electrical systems in line with global standards, enhancing end-of-line testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and validate applications specifically for Flash Programming. Code, maintain, and troubleshoot test applications using C/C++ programming language. Investigate and resolve issues with vehicle electronic control units related to testing applications via CAN (ISO15765), UDS (ISO14229), and DoIP (ISO13400) protocols. Conduct EOL validation in System Benches and provide support for pre-production vehicle builds. Assist team members with system verification processes, parameter settings, and configurations. Validate software and boot changes applied to global components when needed. Collaborate with Product Engineering, suppliers, and the Customer Care and Aftersales Engineering teams. Promote a forward-thinking work culture that welcomes change and prepares for future challenges in the industry. Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years in software development. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages. Experience in software debugging and troubleshooting. Understanding of CAN (ISO15765), UDS (ISO14229), and DoIP (ISO13400) serial data protocols. Familiarity with vehicle electrical and mechanical systems and architectures. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with End-of-Line Assembly Verification systems such as GTS. Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio. Utility-file and SPS interpreters experience. Experience with electrical system benches. Acquainted with product release processes (SPR/SPD, 3PD, etc.). Background in vehicle assembly plant/process. Understanding of Linux PC system setup and configuration. Important Notice: GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
