Job Title: Manufacturing Process EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide specialized engineering and production support for Manufacturing Operations and New Product Development Teams. This role is critical to ensuring that medical products and processes comply with applicable standards and regulations, and carries a strong cross-functional emphasis on equipment, facilities, maintenance coordination, and systems support.
Responsibilities
Support daily production operations and ensure timely product release.
Reprioritize tasks in response to dynamic business needs.
Drive manufacturing projects focused on enhancing capacity, yield, cost reduction, and validations.
Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams on new product launches.
Assess the feasibility of new equipment or facility improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply root cause analysis and statistical tools to resolve processing challenges.
Provide cross-functional project management support.
Ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Work closely with the Maintenance group, providing necessary tools, documentation, and engineering support for routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Oversee and maintain equipment validation schedules, preventive maintenance, and calibration timelines to ensure compliance and timeliness.
Support and troubleshoot Blue Mountain CMMS systems for asset tracking, change control, and maintenance planning.
Coordinate with Facilities on system updates and facility changes related to the Blue Mountain platform.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical, or Biological preferred).
3-5 years of experience working as an engineer in a regulated industry.
Experience working with a maintenance management system (Blue Mountain preferred).
Proficiency in process improvement, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
Experience with root cause analysis and validation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine products is a plus (cleanroom processing, aseptic technique, tissue preservation, AATB standards).
A Master's degree is advantageous.
Experience with the Blue Mountain software platform, a specialized software designed for life sciences manufacturers to manage equipment, maintenance, and compliance.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a business casual dress code and a clean room environment. The standard hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling a 40-hour work week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.
