A well-established precision manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement, support machine shop operations, and develop efficient, cost-effective production methods. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machining environments, Lean Manufacturing, and process documentation. Responsibilities:
50% – Support Machine Shop Operations:
Provide hands-on support and technical direction to CNC operations and production teams.
Review and revise operation sheets and routing instructions.
Collaborate with planning and design staff to optimize tooling and manufacturability
25% – Drive Continuous Improvement:
Implement Lean and Six Sigma tools to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes.
Lead work simplification, tooling improvement, and workflow efficiency projects
Identify and drive cost reduction and cycle time improvements
25% – Process Documentation & Standardization:
Create and revise process documentation, SOPs, and manufacturing instructions.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Assist with fixture design and assembly test requirements
Key Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or technical equivalent)
Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering within a high-precision, CNC-based machine shop
Solid understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and manufacturing process design
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, planning, production, QA)
Strong project management and communication skills
Must be a U.S. Person ( or permanent )
