Salary: $110,000 + Equity This exciting opportunity will put you at the heart of our factory launch, developing the workflow and production layout for our new product line. Collaborate with design engineering to take panel design through prototype development and into volume production Lead the planning and installation of new manufacturing equipment in our first factory Obtain necessary permits for equipment such as paint booths and ventilation systems Design and implement an efficient factory layout for equipment and material flow Create and maintain manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions for printing, milling, assembly and coating of wall panels and associated products. Lead training for production staff on new processes and tooling. Troubleshoot production issues and support safe, reliable factory operations Design and manage fabrication or procurement of fixtures, ensuring successful floor implementation. Complete PFMEA analysis to analyze risks associated with processes and product. Develop and implement effective countermeasures to address top risks. Evaluate capital equipment required to support product-specific requirements and automation. Work alongside the team on the factory floor to build, test, and refine processes in a fast-paced, hands-on, startup environment.
Required Skills and Knowledge Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality management Experience setting up new production lines and overseeing equipment installations Ability to develop clear, step-by-step process documentation for operators Skilled at obtaining permits and working with regulatory bodies for facility setups Background in process engineering. Experience creating layouts for new products that enhance workflow, safety, and productivity. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, adaptable based on audience. Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required; Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred.
Work Experience: 5-7+ Years working experience as an engineer in manufacturing Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications and CAD software required. Experience with SolidWorks preferred. Working Environment: Combination of office environment and a production shop floor environment requiring sitting/standing for extended periods of time; occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; occasionally crouching or bending at the knees. Exposure to moderate levels of noise on the shop floor. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
