Fluidrais seeking aManufacturing/ProcessEngineerto join the team in Portland, TN. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing process design and improvement.Supports the engineering function by analyzing designs for manufacturing and assembly. Performs cost estimating, prepares bill ofmaterialsand plans and justifies capital equipment.Additionally, you will: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Plans manufacturing and assembly processes by analyzing designs to determine the best manufacturing methods. Documents manufacturing processes. Creates and manages manufacturing work instructions. Creates and Modifies product CAD documentation (parts, assemblies, drawings) as needed. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Analyzes and plans workspace requirements and workflow, designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Determines,specifies,and justifies capital equipment needs. Confers with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Designs and performs product testing and analysis as needed. Performs quality assurance functions as needed to ensure high levels of quality in manufacturing. WHAT WE SEEK 8+years of related working experience Lean Experience including the practical implementation and application w/ Black Belt Certification is a plus. CAD platforms (SolidWorks) Demonstrated abilitytocollect and analyze data to drive improvements in throughput, cost and quality of variousmanufacturing process using provenmethodologies. Experience with rotational molding is a plus, but not required Experience with Microsoft Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint), E-mail ERP experience (Oracle, Epicor) is a plus EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
