Job Overview
We're looking for a detail-driven and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with experience in steel fabrication to join our growing team. In this role you'll support production by optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring high quality and efficiency in everything we make. You'll be responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. This will include determining the machines, equipment, tools, and sequence of operations necessary to perform production operations.
You'll work closely with design, operations, and quality teams to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and keep our equipment running at peak performance.
Essential Duties
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
Identify issues and implement solutions for the manufacturing process or equipment
Monitor and analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
Support Production Technicians by assisting them in troubleshooting complex machine and process issues
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Work with the quality team to perform root cause analysis and corrective action for quality issues
Design or source manufacturing tools, equipment, and fixtures
Produce documentation, work instructions, and training materials for shop floor use
Maintain product and process databases by writing programs and entering data
Coordinate new product introductions with multidisciplinary teams
Generate specifications, validation plans, and acceptance criteria for new equipment, materials, and processes

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
Understanding of lean tools, principles, and methodology
Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at various organizational levels internally and externally
Proficiency in reading and developing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/diagrams
Must be an analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills who has proven capability in driving results
Comfortable with change and ambiguity, with the ability to quickly propose solutions given limited guidance
Self-directed individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with PLCs, conveyors, and robotics
Experience with Laser Cutting, Powder Coating, or Finishing
Steel furniture manufacturing experience
Optical experience a plus
Proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus

Working Environment
On-site role in a production facility - daily presence on the shop floor required
Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above-mentioned essential duties
Occasional travel will be required for training
Pay
$70,000 - $90,000 per year
