Overview
Consider joining the Pennex family as a Manufacturing Engineer (CNC Programming) at our Leetonia, OH location. The Manufacturing Engineer (CNC Programming) will lead CNC program creation, alteration, and refinement for aluminum extruded products. This position will direct data collection and efficiency monitoring to ensure quality end products. The Manufacturing Engineer (CNC Programming) will manage technical projects from conception through sustainability.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
CNC Program creation of new product utilizing CAD CAM (Siemens NX Preferred)
CNC program refinement and alterations as needed for efficiency and quality improvement
Coordinates, schedules and serves as liaison between production, maintenance and contract personnel for installation and start-up of fabrication equipment and / or process projects.
Coordinates engineering activities and designs for equipment utilization and optimization.
Assists in development of preventive maintenance programs for fabrication equipment in conjunction with operations and maintenance staff.
Support robot to CNC coordination
Support measurement of machined product
Process Improvement Activities
Yield Improvement
Process Analysis / Root Cause for repeat quality concerns
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) in a mechanical discipline from four-year college or university five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following fields: High Volume manufacturing environment
Automotive industry
Aluminum Extrusion machining
CNC Fixture design or optimization
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities CAD CAM (Siemens NX Preferred)
Mechanical design preferred
Strong analytical skills
Strong knowledge of GD&T
2-D and 3-D modeling
Excellent problem-solving skills
Takes initiative
Ability work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
Must have regular attendance

The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
