Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineer 4 to join our aerospace team in Everett, WA. In this role, you will develop and implement advanced production and tooling methodologies, lead manufacturability assessments, and collaborate across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to deliver solutions for complex aerospace systems. You will be expected to contribute to program architecture, conduct variation analyses, ensure design/build feasibility, and drive implementation of lean principles. This is a hands-on role suited for candidates who can immediately contribute to design reviews, CATIA/ENOVIA modeling, and production readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies for manufacturing programs.
Participate in IPTs to drive cross-functional engineering integration.
Evaluate conceptual designs for producibility and maintain build architecture.
Lead manufacturing planning and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Conduct layout and drawing reviews; validate 2D and 3D design integrity.
Perform producibility and variation analysis to align process capability with design intent.
Resolve high-impact technical challenges related to performance, cost, or schedule.
Integrate new engineering principles, advanced technologies, and Lean manufacturing tools.
Validate solutions for production readiness through rigorous reviews and analysis.
Document best practices in manufacturing and support continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent 9+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Proven expertise in Producibility Engineering (non-negotiable).
Hands-on experience with design, layout, and drawing reviews.
Proficiency in CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, PDM/CAPP, REDARS, and 2D drafting.
Familiarity with aerospace specifications and standards.
Experience with development programs.
Completion of Manufacturing Engineering (ME) School or equivalent training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with BDS.
Familiarity with B-52 or legacy aircraft programs.
Exposure to supply chain processes, particularly around tooling and part flow.
Background in tooling design and integration for aerospace systems.
Previous involvement in program start-up or greenfield manufacturing setups.
