POSITION SUMMARY

The Leak Detection Engineer develops, implements and monitors real-time transient models for Targa's pipeline leak detection system. The leak detection engineer will work with the leak detection manager, SCADA team, pipeline controllers, pipeline operations staff and third-party contractors as part of Targa's leak detection effort.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in leak detection modeling

•Minimum of 7 years in pipeline engineering and/or operations

•Be flexible and able to adapt to a change in work priorities and manage multiple projects with short turnaround time

•Ability to support any afterhours leak detection alarms

•Excellent written and oral communication skill

•Willingness to work or travel to Sulphur, LA

•Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Experience with computational pipeline monitoring leak detection

•Experience with Emerson Pipeline Manager

•Experience with data analysis techniques and statistics

•Familiarity with SCADA systems
