We're seeking an experienced Structural Section Head to lead our structural engineering department, drive business development, and manage high-performing teams. This is a senior leadership role focused on building client relationships, ensuring project excellence, and guiding our section's financial and strategic success. Key Responsibilities Lead the structural engineering section at the local level, aligning with office managers and practice leaders on strategic growth plans. Build and expand market presence through marketing, networking, and business development with local, county, and state clients. Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure profitability. Oversee proposal development and contribute technical expertise to project managers and engineers. Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, conducting performance reviews and setting clear goals. Provide technical leadership on horizontal structural projects, including bridges. Maintain high standards for project quality, schedules, and client satisfaction. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (accredited program). Professional Engineer (PE) License . 10+ years of experience in horizontal structural engineering (bridge experience strongly preferred). Proven track record in project management and business development . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Established relationships with local, county, and state agencies.
