Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: 2 Gateway Center, Newark, NJ 07102

Salary: From $150,280 - $155,000 per year

Duties:

• Lead performance testing efforts within software development projects, ensuring that performance requirements are met.
• Create a performance test strategy and test plan based on the project requirements and design documents.
• Configure and set up the test environment, including infrastructure, software, and testing tools.
• Design and develop automated test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to simulate real-world user interactions and load.
• Execute performance tests according to the test plan, monitoring system resources, collecting performance metrics, and analyzing test results.
• Identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks, anomalies, and potential issues in the application.
• Generate performance test reports with detailed analysis of performance metrics, test results, and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the development team to track, investigate, and resolve performance-related defects.
• Proactively monitor application performance in different environments, analyzing performance trends and identifying performance degradation or anomalies.
• Continuously improve performance testing processes, methodologies, and tools based on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field, plus 5 years of Performance Test Engineering experience.
• Previous experience to include: Analyzing Test Requirements, Non Functional Requirement Gathering, Test Management, Test Automation, Apache JMeter, LoadRunner Enterprise, BlazeMeter, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, AWS/Azure Cloud, Micro Focus Alm, Jira, Reporting, Web Services, and Postman.
• Role holder is eligible to work on a hybrid basis, with manager approval so must reside within commuting distance to the work site.
