Lead Remediation Project Engineer - FL

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Engineer to join their team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will lead and manage design teams to implement innovative remedial technologies targeting a wide range of environmental contaminants in soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air. You will work on sites regulated under state programs, as well as CERCLA and RCRA, helping clients resolve contamination challenges using advanced, science-based solutions. Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects to address data gaps, design, construction, and system optimization

  • Analyze data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling, and modeling to inform strategy

  • Prepare and mentor others in the creation of design basis documents, feasibility analyses, plans, specifications, and technical reports

  • Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure permitting and compliance requirements are met

  • Manage projects for sites ranging from small commercial facilities to large industrial and federal locations

  • Develop proposals, budgets, and long-term remediation cost projections

  • Collaborate with cross-office teams, provide mentorship, and contribute to corporate technical initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering

  • 7–15 years of relevant experience

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required

  • Experience with remediation system design, operation, and maintenance for a variety of contaminants

  • Valid driver's license

  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight as needed

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with remediation of PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and heavy metals

  • Experience in project and client management across both small and large-scale environmental sites

  • Location: Tampa, FL

  • Relocation Assistance: Available based on need

  • Compensation: $120-135,000
