Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Architect and develop essential CI/CD platform services that cater to thousands of engineers and manage high-volume production workloads.
Lead significant and unclear technical projects from initial problem identification to design, implementation, and ongoing operation.
Pinpoint sources of complexity, technical debt, and operational hazards, devising efficient and lasting solutions.
Set the technological vision and standards across the CI/CD platform, impacting design decisions beyond your immediate team.
Guide and mentor senior engineers through design evaluations, architectural dialogues, and collaborative efforts.
Engage deeply with cross-functional teams within OCI to produce effective, integrated tools and workflows.
Create comprehensive and durable design documentation that supports alignment, onboarding, and system evolution.
Establish robust operational practices focused on reliability, observability, proactive failure management, and incident prevention.
Champion simplicity as a fundamental engineering principle, acknowledging that crafting simplicity is often the most challenging yet rewarding task.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong expertise in CI/CD systems, DevOps platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
Extensive experience in designing and managing large-scale, distributed systems while building highly reliable, scalable, and low-maintenance services.
Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Go, Python, Java, or similar) with a solid understanding of distributed systems.
Significant experience in designing and operating major cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
Hands-on experience with containers, orchestration systems, and infrastructure as code.
Proven track record of mentoring and leading experienced engineers through challenges and growth phases.
