Position Overview AGE Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Network Engineer with a strong focus on Local Area Network (LAN) design and engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who possesses extensive experience in evaluating and estimating costs for voice and data LAN services, designing robust access and backbone networks, and analyzing wireless voice and data networks. Responsibilities Include: Support complex applications throughout all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis. Identify high-level design requirements and conduct feature testing, application assessments, operating system evaluations, and redundancy and disaster recovery planning for LAN. Create and design Concept of Operations (CONOPS), disaster recovery, and contingency operation plans. Manage evaluation and cost estimation processes for voice and data LAN services from telecommunications carriers. Perform network monitoring and fault detection to ensure optimal performance. Develop, implement, and oversee failover solutions. Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network maps, node connections, installation diagrams, and patch panel references. Design access and backbone networks utilizing carrier services. Implement and support network solutions like streaming video, VLAN, wireless LAN, and DNS/DHCP appliances. Provide analysis and design support for wireless voice and/or data systems. Guide and mentor junior network engineers in design, implementation, and operations tasks. Peer review work products to ensure quality, adherence to design concepts, and compliance with user standards. Recommend approvals for major network installations. Contribute to status reports, deliverables, project presentations, and daily workload updates. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Clearance: Current DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance. Experience: 7+ years of related experience. Certifications: IA Level: IAT-II required; one of the following: BPIPA, CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCSPA, or SCNA required; current Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification preferred and must be able to obtain it. Location: This is an onsite position with approximately 25% travel required within the United States. Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 Environment: Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs over your head and bend or move around equipment racks. A valid driver's license is required.
