Lead Information Assurance Engineer GovCIO is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Information Assurance Engineer, committed to supporting our client's System Security Authorization and Assessment (SA&A) needs. This position is fully remote, offering you flexibility while making an impact. Key Responsibilities: Take charge of implementing solutions to address system vulnerabilities while closing out identified Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). Oversee the updating of security documentation for BIES systems required to secure and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary evidence and address any findings effectively. Work closely with fellow Information Assurance Engineers to evaluate the security posture of systems and resolve vulnerabilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in information assurance (or equivalent experience). At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Possession of a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is mandatory. IA baseline certification is also required. Demonstrated expertise in assessing, documenting, and remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities. An active Top Secret clearance is required, with the ability to maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance. However, actual base pay offered may vary based on multiple individualized factors, such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other compensation elements may also be included, which will be discussed during the hiring process. This is an at-will position, and GovCIO reserves the right to modify salary and other compensation programs at any time based on performance, departmental needs, and market conditions.
