Lead Human Factors Engineer

Lead and conduct studies in human/machine interaction, equipment/facilities design, environmental design, and human performance assessment. Responsible for finalizing project deliverables and writing technical reports. Design experiments and usability testing, oversee data collection and analysis of behavioral data. Participate in overall project management. Be an expert in experimental design and statistical analysis. May participate in staff development/selection.

Responsibilities
Support organizational performance, product design, and related activities, including human factors integration, concept design and development, rapid prototyping, user testing, and qualification.
Involved in all phases of the lifecycle, providing input to defining human factors requirements, systems integration, assessment setup, and generating qualification evidence.
Work may include human workload, situation awareness, human reliability analysis, and cultural interventions.
Requirements
FAA Clearance
Education: BS; Experience: 16+ years; PhD: 11+ years; MS: 14+ years; HS: 20+ years
Background in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Human Factors and Ergonomics
Cognitive psychology experience in HF engineering and Human Factors
Human Machine Interface Design
Human System Interface Design
Knowledge of human cognition, including serial and parallel processing, visual perception, attention allocation, and reaction time
