Lead Electrical Engineer – Hybrid Remote Location: Emeryville, CA (Hybrid – In-office Monday & Wednesday, remote Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) Engineer the Future of Healthcare. Specializing in complex, ground-up medical facilities, this role requires deep expertise in California's OSHPD (HCAI) standards and a passion for technical leadership, collaboration, and quality delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead the electrical design for large-scale healthcare facilities, ensuring full compliance with OSHPD (HCAI) requirements.
Oversee critical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and essential medical infrastructure.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to manage design coordination, timelines, and budgets.
Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers, promoting technical growth and professional development.
Conduct site inspections and provide expert troubleshooting to maintain the highest standards in safety, sustainability, and system performance.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
8+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare design
Extensive knowledge of OSHPD (HCAI) compliance and ground-up construction
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis software
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Preferred: Experience with sustainable electrical design and energy efficiency strategies
Familiarity with BIM coordination and advanced modeling tools
Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing engineering talent
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $150K+
