Position Overview As we modernize and expand our technological infrastructure, we seek a Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead CI/CD initiatives, cloud automation, and achieve operational excellence. This role is perfect for a seasoned DevOps expert who excels in collaborative environments, is passionate about automation, and can scale secure and reliable infrastructures across diverse teams. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps .
Automate deployment and testing workflows utilizing scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash .
Implement security best practices to safeguard applications and data against potential threats.
Manage cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation, observability, and resilience .
Drive the measurement, monitoring, and reporting of system performance using SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline delivery processes and enhance engineering workflows.
Attend quarterly team meetings and collaboration sessions with occasional travel to New Jersey.
Diagnose and proactively resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues.
Qualifications: 3-6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or build/release engineering roles.
Proficient hands-on experience with CI/CD tools , especially GitHub and pipeline automation techniques.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms , preferably Azure, with familiarity in AWS or GCP being a plus.
Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python .
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Splunk, or equivalent.
Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for performance and reliability monitoring.
Adept at working in Agile teams and collaborating across development, QA, and operations.
Willingness to travel (~20%) for planning and collaboration sessions.
Desirable Skills: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
Exposure to package managers such as NPM or NuGet.
Experience in DevSecOps or integrating security into CI/CD workflows.
A genuine enthusiasm for automation, performance measurement , and continuous improvement in system reliability.
