Contract-to-Hire Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI | Hybrid Conversion Salary Range: $98,400-$154,600

What you will do as a Database Engineer: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments Administer, monitor, and optimize databases including Oracle, Snowflake, Azure SQL, and MS SQL Provision, configure, patch, and manage backup/recovery processes for databases Collaborate with developers, analysts, and DBAs to troubleshoot issues and improve query performance Support data migration and integration as part of cloud transformation initiatives Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources Contribute to Agile team planning and ceremonies, fostering a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations and incident response

What you will bring to the Database Engineer role: 7+ years of experience in database engineering or related technical roles Hands-on expertise with Oracle, Snowflake, or Azure SQL Database Strong skills in system performance tuning and query optimization Solid understanding of Azure or other cloud platforms and cloud-native data services Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments Familiarity with database change management tools such as Liquibase Skills in scripting or automation using Ansible, Python, or Terraform Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring/observability tools Background in Agile or SAFe environments
