How You’ll Make an Impact The Junior Manufacturing Engineer supports the planning and documentation required to ensure manufacturing processes meet customer and quality requirements. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to grow their knowledge in machining, process documentation, and production support. The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams. Key responsibilities include interpreting customer models and drawings, assisting in process development, and creating clear work instructions for the shop floor.
What you’ll be doing as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer: Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location. Assist in preparing and maintaining written work instructions for production processes. Support the creation of detailed visual aids, including CAD models and drawings, to clarify work instructions. Help develop and update process routers, inspection plans, and related documentation. Learn and apply a working knowledge of machining practices and capabilities in a shop environment. Review and interpret customer-provided documentation, models, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications. Participate in process evaluations for corrective action or continuous improvement opportunities under supervision. Provide input to the quoting team by gathering time estimates and reviewing methods as directed. Support the team in resolving customer concerns and participating in root cause and corrective action efforts. Maintain communication with internal teams on project task progress and deliverables. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering — or equivalent technical training or experience Strong attention to detail, especially when working with technical drawings and documentation Familiarity with machining environments and interest in hands-on shop floor processes Basic proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks (or similar) Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, models, and technical specifications Effective verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working collaboratively within cross-functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience: 1–2 years of experience in a machine shop, production engineering, or manufacturing internship Exposure to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Experience supporting AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing environments Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma tools, or continuous improvement methodologies Experience with process documentation such as routers, inspection plans, and work instructions Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) or design for assembly (DFA) concepts Physical Demands :

Work Environment:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $25/hour - $35/hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
