Jamf Engineer

CSI Companies is seeking an experienced Jamf Engineer to support and optimize an enterprise-level macOS device management environment. This role plays a critical part in streamlining device provisioning, strengthening application lifecycle and patch management, and implementing scalable automation and security improvements within Jamf Pro. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on Jamf engineer who can quickly assess an existing environment, identify gaps, and implement improvements that enhance reliability, security, and end?user experience. Hours: Full time - 40 hours/week (Pacific PST HOURS)

Position Type: Consultant - No C2C Work Authorization:
Visas are acceptable (any EAD). Candidates must be eligible to work on W2 and must not require sponsorship for at least 6-12 months. What you'll do:
- Design, configure, and maintain Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) through Apple Business Manager.
- Build and optimize Jamf PreStage enrollments and macOS onboarding workflows.
- Integrate identity solutions such as Okta via Jamf Connect to support secure authentication and provisioning.
- Package, deploy, and manage macOS applications using PKG/DMG, scripts, and Composer.
- Develop scalable application deployment models using required installs and Jamf Self Service.
- Implement and manage automated application updates and patching strategies, including tools such as Installomator, Jamf Patch, or Jamf Catalog.
- Configure macOS update policies and enforcement timelines using test - pilot - production rollout strategies.
Implement and manage Jamf Protect, configuration profiles, and security controls (FileVault, PPPC, system extensions).
- Support least-privilege initiatives, including admin rights removal and compliance alignment.
- Develop and maintain Bash/Zsh scripts for automation, remediation, and workflow optimization.
- Act as Tier 3 escalation for macOS-related issues, troubleshooting enrollment, policy, and application failures.
- Assess the current Jamf environment and propose and implement improvements within the initial engagement period.
- Enhance monitoring, reporting, and compliance visibility across the macOS fleet. What we're looking for:
- Strong, hands-on experience with Jamf Pro in an enterprise macOS environment.
- Jamf 300 certification or equivalent demonstrated hands-on expertise.
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
-Proficiency in macOS administration and scripting (Bash/Zsh).
- Proven experience with application packaging, deployment, and patch management.
- Ability to independently assess environments and deliver actionable improvements.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Nice to have:
- Experience integrating identity providers such as Okta or Entra ID.
- Exposure to Jamf Protect and macOS security/compliance initiatives.
- Experience working within cross-platform MDM environments (e.g., Intune).
- Prior consulting or project-based delivery experience. Who Should Apply?
