We are seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our client's global media and entertainment team. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in large-scale enterprise environments and is passionate about infrastructure-as-code, automation tooling, and secure DevOps practices. You will own and manage automation platforms, drive tool adoption, and collaborate across teams to streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
This project will require the person to be remote commutable within the Los Angeles CA, New York tri-state area, or Orlando FL and to be part of a rotational on-call schedule. Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform and Ansible across hybrid cloud environments.
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and PowerShell to support infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.
Own and manage automation platforms and tooling, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Implement and enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices, including version control, modularization, and testing.
Ensure automation solutions align with security standards, including secrets management, role-based access control (RBAC), and compliance frameworks.
Monitor and optimize automation workflows using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack.
Support cloud infrastructure provisioning on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a primary focus on AWS services.
Document automation processes, standards, and architecture for internal knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and scripting in enterprise environments.
Expert-level proficiency with Terraform and Ansible, including module development, playbook design, and state management.
Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell, with experience building reusable automation libraries.
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including:
EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, CodePipeline, CloudWatch, and Config
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Knowledge of security automation, including vulnerability scanning, patching, and compliance reporting.
Experience with configuration management, stateful deployments, and immutable infrastructure concepts.
Familiarity with other automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, or Pulumi is a plus.
Strong understanding of networking, Linux/Windows server administration, and cloud-native architectures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across global teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation) are a plus.
Required to be part of a rotational on-call support schedule.
Nice to have
Experience with GitOps workflows and tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
Familiarity with policy-as-code tools such as Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Terraform Sentinel.
Exposure to event-driven automation using AWS EventBridge, Lambda, or Step Functions.
Understanding of DevSecOps principles and integration of security into automation pipelines.
Additional Details
The base salary range for this contract position is $115,000- 135,000 /per year, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
