Summary:

The Information Security Engineer Level II is a mid-level role that plays a key part in monitoring enterprise security systems, responding to security alerts, deploying, maintaining, and automating security tools across Young Livings infrastructure. This position leads specific projects and works closely with the Security Operations Manager or Director of Information Security to identify and address risks in cloud and on-prem environments.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor and improve the performance of security systems (10%)
• Serve as a responder in incident response efforts (10%)
• Lead medium-scale InfoSec projects (40%)
• Act as a liaison between InfoSec and IT operations teams (5%)
• Ensure accurate documentation of security systems and configurations (5%)
• Repond to security alerts and related IT tasks involving:
  • Firewalls
  • IDS/IPS
  • SIEM
  • Content Filtering
  • Virus Protection
  • Vulnerability Scanning/Analysis
  • SSO and IAM
  • AWS and Cloud Security (30%)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Intermediate knowledge of securing enterprise systems
• Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Solid understanding of enterprise information systems and technologies.
• Solid experience with Cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with incident response and blue team methodologies
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms
• Strong knowledge of system hardening techniques
• Ability to continuously learn new security skills and concepts
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum 35 years of full-time experience in Information Security
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Supervisory Responsibility:

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.

Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employees manager.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
