Careers that Change Lives This position will provide Electrical Design and System Test support for the Translational Research System team on Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health Implantable products such as cutting-edge neurostimulator systems for Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation, and Sacral Nerve Modulation. The individual will support all phases of development including definition, design, troubleshooting, characterization, and verification of medical device research systems. The individual will be an integral part of the R&T organization delivering the highest quality, life changing technology to our patients. This role requires a strong background in hardware development and testing, system integration and testing, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology. The candidate will support the definition, characterization, and verification of hardware components (e.g., low-power electronics) for research systems. In addition to an established track record or foundational education (i.e., bachelor’s degree) of design/debug of low-power analog and digital circuitry, the candidate must have experience working with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, arb waveform generators, power supplies, multimeters). Define engineering test environment; design circuit boards (schematics and layout) for hardware components of research systems, build prototype boards; design and build test fixtures; create and work with LabView/Python code. Conduct system integration and testing to ensure compatibility and functionality by authoring verification protocols, collecting data, performing basic data analysis, and preparing reports. Collaborate with other engineers to identify and resolve system issues. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work. Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field required 0 years of experience required
Nice to Have Experience in medical device industry Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with low-power electronics Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Strong debugging and problem solving skills Strong “hands on” skills, with an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Programming skills in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB
