This position involves researching, analyzing, and improving Qualcomm's Adreno GPU compiler and system performance for our global customers. The role includes analyzing GPU shaders and bottlenecks, developing and utilizing profiling tools, and investigating compiler architecture. The goal is to influence the performance of games, applications, and hardware design through collaboration in compiler/driver, architecture, and game development. Qualifications: A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Experience with LLVM compiler development and optimization. Understanding of GPU and computer architecture (CPU, memory, data layout, etc.) and performance tradeoffs. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python. Good communication skills, teamwork, reliability, and self-motivation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's or higher degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience. Additional Requirements: Experience in graphics shader programming (OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX, or others) or OpenCL/CUDA kernel development. Understanding of profiling/debugging tools and hardware performance counters for parallel applications.
