GNC Simulation Engineer

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced GNC Simulation Engineer for a 1-year+ contract-to-hire opportunity in Grand Prairie, Texas . This role supports next-generation rotary wing systems within a classified defense program. Candidates must have a strong background in 6-DOF simulation , Guidance and Control law development , and C++/MATLAB modeling .
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics Proficient in C++ Experience with 6-DOF simulations and FORTRAN Aerospace systems application experience Active Secret Clearance required to begin work Preferred Qualifications: Experience with rotary wing vehicle design , especially in Guidance and Control law development Proficient in MATLAB , Simulink , and/or Python Familiar with Kalman filters , linear algebra , rotating coordinate systems , and state dynamics Experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments Previous involvement in flight test prediction and performance analysis Willingness to work full-time onsite in a classified lab environment Availability to travel occasionally for flight test support (up to 2 weeks) Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineers to integrate weapons, sensors, and control algorithms into 6-DOF Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS) Conduct modeling and simulation tasks to assess system survivability , safety of flight (SOF) , and support end-to-end kill chain assessments Use simulations to support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) labs for performance verification Analyze flight test data , provide simulation-based predictions , and participate in test validation Support the integration and test of software and hardware systems in a classified environment
