Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Geotechnical Engineer - Licensed Engineer to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Conduct site investigations, soil testing, and data analysis to assess ground conditions and provide recommendations for foundation design and construction Develop and review geotechnical reports, including site characterization, foundation recommendations, and construction specifications Perform complex geotechnical calculations and analyses using specialized software Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designs Manage geotechnical aspects of projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and regulations Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred Professional Engineering (PE) license required 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering (USACE experience highly preferred) Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio) Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software Experience with site investigations, soil testing, and data analysis Project management experience
Additional Information
Salary : Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience.
