Liro Group, a leader in engineering and construction management based in Syosset, NY, is seeking a motivated and skilled Geologist/Environmental Engineer/Scientist to contribute to our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department. This vital role will focus on assessing environmental impact, improving sustainability initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations. Working on a diverse range of projects aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure, the successful candidate will play a key role in upholding and advancing Liro Group's commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions. Conduct site assessments and environmental impact studies to identify and mitigate ecological risks. Develop, implement, and oversee environmental remediation projects. Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Collaborate with other engineering and architectural teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design. Prepare and review environmental investigation and compliance reports. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulations related to environmental health and safety. Participate in sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of projects. Strong foundation in environmental science, geology, or civil engineering. Experience with environmental assessment tools and data analysis. Proficiency in GIS and other related environmental software. Ability to communicate complex environmental data effectively. Strong project management and organizational skills. Capability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
