Full Stack Engineer - HealthTech (Founding Team)

Rust Belt Resources has partnered with a close, elite, mission-driven team working at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and software engineering. The organization tackles meaningful problems in clinical medicine helping to solve critical workflows by transforming how medical data is handled in order to integrate data and enable decision-making.
This is a small and highly talented team who have built several billion dollar companies and worked at the forefront of AI, Robotics, and Healthcare. This role is technical, cross-functional, and high-impact enabling this person to have a direct influence on the product, team, and company.
What you’ll do:
Design and build end-to-end product features across the stack, from responsive front-ends to robust back-end systems
Collaborate with clinical users and the product team to deeply understand real-world workflows and translate them into elegant product experiences
Develop and maintain APIs, services, and infrastructure that support secure and performant access to healthcare data
Contribute to core architectural decisions as we scale from early-stage product to widespread deployment across diverse client settings
Work alongside AI engineers to integrate intelligent features into the product in intuitive, usable ways
Continuously refine and improve our development practices—from CI/CD to observability and testing
Requirements You should apply if you:
Have 6+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally at a startup or in a high-ownership environment
Have shipped systems that scale - from a handful of users to widespread adoption
Are comfortable across the stack: backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django, FastAPI), frontend libraries (e.g., React, Vue), and modern APIs
Are comfortable with with modern data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Have experience with relational and/or document databases
Prioritize UX and have an eye for clean, functional design—even if you're not a designer
Thrive in ambiguous environments and are excited to help define both product and engineering standards
Have an interest in healthcare and experience in electronic medical record (EMR) integrations
This person will be involved all facets of the product lifecycle and should have exposure to full stack development, AI/ML integration, healthcare data infrastructure, and workflow optimization software.
