We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer II for the Same Day Delivery Experience team to help ensure we have a compelling and friction-free ‘delivery in hours’ experience available to our customers, and to drive continuous innovation and improvement across all phases of shopping, buying, and post-purchase experience. - Every retail purchase on Amazon's websites uses our team’s software. - Our systems process hundreds of millions of transactions daily. - Our work impacts millions of customers worldwide. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will: Build highly extensible software systems to support Amazon's growing delivery business and capabilities. Develop and enhance services that are reliable and low latency. Design the checkout delivery experience in collaboration with multiple teams across the company. Create next-generation systems to represent delivery options, enabling rapid experimentation in User Experience. A day in the life You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of skilled software engineers to design and implement technical solutions that meet business needs. You will have ownership of designing new components to improve platform extensibility, scalability, availability, and latency. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS At least 1 year of experience with agile software development methodology. Our compensation reflects labor costs across US markets. The base salary ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills.
