About The Role The firmware team at Base designs and implements firmware that controls the energy fleet. Responsibilities include grid balancing, high-rate telemetry, automated fault detection, reliable communications, and fast commissioning. As a member, you will design and distribute high-reliability software for our power systems. Responsibilities Design and deliver reliable firmware (Embedded in C/C++). Implement and release new systems, including processor selection, software requirements, implementation, and validation. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality, reliable software. Required Skills / Qualifications First-principles thinking, simplicity in solutions. 5+ years of experience in embedded software development on bare-metal or RTOS. Experience developing embedded systems from scratch. Proven ability to build deterministic, reliable, and maintainable software. Experience with test-driven development and CI/CD. Preferred Skills Familiarity with UL1998, UL1741, UL1547 certification processes. Experience with real-time software development, debugging, and testing.
