As a Remote Field Application Engineer, you will act as a critical link between customers and product development teams, providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support for complex hardware or software solutions. You will be responsible for helping clients integrate and optimize technology solutions in real-world applications, solving technical challenges, and driving product adoption through technical expertise and consultation.

This role requires a mix of engineering knowledge, customer-facing skills, and problem-solving ability. Ideal candidates are technically adept, personable, and passionate about delivering value through tailored application support and product demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams and customers during all phases of the sales and implementation cycle

Support clients in the design, configuration, and integration of products into their systems

Deliver technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations tailored to client requirements

Troubleshoot customer issues and recommend solutions or product modifications to meet functional or performance goals

Collaborate with sales, product management, and R&D teams to provide feedback and influence product roadmaps

Create technical documentation including application notes, configuration guides, and knowledge base content

Train customer engineers and partners on best practices and proper usage of products

Maintain deep expertise on product functionality, industry standards, and competitive landscape

Travel to customer sites as needed (typically low travel for remote roles unless hybrid/travel-based is specified)

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field

2+ years of experience in technical support, field engineering, or systems/application engineering roles

Strong understanding of embedded systems, electronics, software integration, or automation (depending on the product)

Hands-on experience with schematics, PCB layout, sensors, microcontrollers, or relevant technologies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues with a customer-first mindset

Comfortable working cross-functionally in fast-paced, client-driven environments
