Job type: Remote, full-time Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings required at Fort Belvoir Clearance Required: Active Secret We are seeking various levels of experienced Data Engineer to provide specialized support to the our client in the compilation, review, and publication of Agency Financial Reports (AFRs). This position will also support the intergovernmental eliminations process and contribute to the accurate presentation of the four primary financial statements. The role is remote, with occasional in-person meetings required at Fort Belvoir. Roles and Responsibilities: Support DLA J85 with financial data collection, validation, and analysis to drive audit readiness and address material weaknesses. Perform data reconciliations between systems (e.g., ERP, feeder systems, property systems) to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information. Partner with SMEs to understand financial reporting requirements and deliver insights that inform key decisions. Clean, transform, and structure raw data from multiple systems for use in reconciliations and audit responses. Prepare documentation, audit support packages, and working papers to support data methodologies, findings, and decisions. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support data requests and respond to inquiries. Education and Qualifications: US Citizenship is a requirement due to the nature of the contract, Active Secret Clearance strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, Communications, Government and Public Administration, or related field. At least four (4) years of experience with one or more of the following: Eliminations, AFR, Trading Partners, or Financial reporting. Strong understanding of GAAP , federal internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with federal financial management, DoD systems (Advana), or FIAR is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, Python, Qlik, or Power BI preferred.
