Job Description
Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

At Intelliforce, we develop secure, scalable, and intelligent systems that support some of the most critical missions in national security. We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide high-level technical leadership across a complex system lifecycle. In this role, you will drive requirements analysis, architecture design, systems integration, and test planning. Your guidance will ensure mission-critical systems are built with performance, security, and interoperability in mind. If you're ready to take ownership of large-scale engineering efforts, solve challenging problems, and lead with vision, this is your opportunity to shape systems that protect and empower.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
  • Analyzing user requirements, CONOPS, and architecture documents to develop detailed system specifications

  • Leading system design, development, integration, and implementation planning activities

  • Providing technical direction for the development, engineering, integration, and testing of hardware/software systems

  • Decomposing requirements and allocating functionality across system components and teams

  • Participating in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and facilitating cross-discipline coordination

  • Designing and documenting system architectures using frameworks such as DoDAF and SOA

  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation: Systems Engineering Plans, ICDs, Interface Control Documents, Test Plans, and Risk Management Plans

  • Supporting the development of Identity Assurance services and Information Assurance mechanisms (e.g., PKI, access control, cryptography)

  • Conducting feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and developing alternative system concepts

  • Capturing and managing interface designs, configuration baselines, and system traceability

  • Driving test planning, verification strategies, and lifecycle assessments

  • Ensuring technical integrity and consistency across development, test, and deployment phases

  • Advising government stakeholders and resolving systems engineering issues and conflicts

  • Supporting accreditation and certification processes (DoD C&A, JCIDS, IA Strategy)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Experience & Education:

    • 20+ years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity

    • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline

    • An additional 5 years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a degree

Required Skills
  • Proven experience planning and leading enterprise-level Systems Engineering efforts

  • Strong background in requirements development, allocation, and traceability

  • Expertise in developing system architectures, operational concepts, and interface standards

  • Deep understanding of DoDAF, SOA, and model-based systems engineering practices

  • Experience with risk management, configuration control, and end-to-end system analysis

  • Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) concepts including confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation

  • Ability to guide system integration and testing activities with attention to performance, maintainability, and survivability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with program personnel, government stakeholders, and senior leadership

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with:

    • System integration and interface definition

    • Trade study development and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)

    • COTS/GOTS integration and architecture evolution

    • Modeling, simulation, and use of validated prototypes

    • Quantitative system analysis in non-functional areas such as reliability, maintainability, and vulnerability

  • Familiarity with:

    • DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes

    • JCIDS documents (e.g., Initial Capability Document, Capabilities Description Document)

    • Configuration control processes and serving as a member of a Configuration Control Board (CCB)

  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, and modeling tools for system architecture

Compensation Range: $182,000.00 - $240,000.00
