The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Responsibilities
Assist in the management, work review and mentoring of staff
Support the training and development of Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) technicians for gas and landfill construction projects
Assist in managing Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) programs
Prepare landfill design documentation, including design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical design reports
Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bid documents including development of scope and costs
Provide assistance on environmental investigation, remediation and mining projects
Support projects including environmental permitting, developing field investigation programs for soil, soil gas and groundwater
Collect groundwater, surface water, soil and soil gas samples
Review State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability to site cleanup
Communicate effectively with clients and help maintain strong relationships that support sustained revenue growth
Achieve targets of technical competence, problem solving skills, and quality of deliverables
Perform desktop and field research to capture information essential for project success and liability reduction
Manage project budgets and schedules, client expectations, and contract requirements
Demonstrate proficiency in project management and effective delegation of tasks and goals
Assist other SLR teams with work in a variety of disciplines including air monitoring, permitting, and compliance, environmental investigation, remediation and mining projects
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications/Education/Memberships
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
4+ years of relevant work experience in industry and/or consulting
Professional certification or registration such as Engineer in Training or Geologist in Training (preferred) (PE or PG is a plus)
Proven experience in preparing technical reports, specifications, construction plans, and engineering or geologic recommendations
Experience in construction cost estimating and budgeting
Experience with landfill monitoring and control system design and evaluation, and/or investigations of landfill sites
Experience in conducting site visits, construction quality assurance (CQA) and field investigations as necessary
40-hour and annual OSHA HAZWOPER certification
Knowledge of California and Federal waste management regulatory requirements (preferred)
Available to travel to work sites when required
Availability to work evenings and weekends when needed
Possess a valid driver's license
