Position ***** Entry-level technical role supporting electric distribution design for overhead (OH) and underground (UG) systems. This role works under close supervision to assist in data collection, drafting, and preparation of utility design documentation. Ideal for candidates with basic CAD or GIS skills and an interest in utility engineering.
Tools & Software • AutoCAD, AUD, GIS • Google Earth • O-Calc, Pole Foreman or equivalent pole loading tool • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) • Proprietary field data collection & design platform (training provided)
Field Work Expectations • Perform field visits to gather pole measurements, GPS locations, structure conditions • Use GPS devices and digital tools for accurate data collection • Work is strictly observational — no contact with energized components • Field work is observational only, with no contact with energized components. • Rental vehicles and PPE/safety equipment will be provided.
Qualifications ***** • High school diploma or GED • 1–3 years of experience in a technical, drafting, or construction support role • Basic proficiency in CAD or GIS software • Willingness to work in both field and office environments ***** • Coursework or certification in drafting, engineering tech, or GIS • Prior experience with electric utility or telecom projects • Familiarity with field data collection and digital mapping tools

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
