Position Description: Position Summary We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Engineer 2 to join our dynamic, fast-paced engineering team. This role is intended for a well-rounded engineer who has progressed beyond foundational engineering tasks and is ready to take on increased responsibility and leadership within the department. As an Engineer 2, you will be expected to work with minimal supervision, managing complex engineering tasks across the entire lifecycle. You will contribute directly to product engineering, machine programming, and quoting/estimating, while also identifying areas for improvement in processes, tools, and team efficiency. Your ability to think critically, problem-solve in real time, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential to your success. This is a growth-focused role for someone looking to make a lasting impacton projects, team culture, and the companys overall operational excellence. ________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities \tIndependently lead engineering design efforts for new and existing products and components \tCreate and review 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and detailed documentation (SolidWorks preferred) \tDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software \tPerform accurate and timely quoting and estimating for custom parts and assemblies \tCollaborate cross-functionally with production, sales, and quality to ensure alignment of design, cost, and manufacturability \tConduct engineering analysis, validation, and prototype testing \tExecute continuous improvement projects & process improvements \tContribute to internal documentation and process standardization efforts \tDrive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for design and production issues \tSupport company safety, quality, and sustainability initiatives through engineering solutions ________________________________________ Qualifications and Required Skills \tBachelors degree in mechanical engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience \t4-6 years of relevant experience in an engineering, machine programming, or quoting role \tProficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) \tStrong understanding of metal fabrication and experience with CAM software \tDemonstrated experience in estimating/quoting, with an understanding of cost drivers in manufacturing \tThorough knowledge of technical drawing standards, GD&T, and weld symbology \tAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision \tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \tExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills \tWillingness to take initiative and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement ________________________________________ Benefits: \tCompetitive salary and advancement opportunities \t401(k) \tDental Insurance \tHealth Insurance \tPaid time off
