Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing firm, and we are recruiting an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer (Test/EQ). This direct hire role will support a cutting-edge nuclear power organization focused on advanced small modular reactor (SMR) technology.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and innovative electrical system designs for nuclear energy applications. This position offers the ability to work fully remote with an estimated 5-10% travel throughout the United States.
Annual Base Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 + full benefits package Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required. Eligibility: Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810
Responsibilities:
Design and review electrical system work products, including single-line diagrams, system specifications, design descriptions, reports, and ITAAC documentation.
Coordinate electrical system design activities with internal teams and external subcontractors.
Reconcile regulatory codes and standards for both domestic and international projects.
Perform interdisciplinary and independent design reviews to ensure compliance with NRC regulations and project goals.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely execution of design deliverables.
Ensure quality assurance compliance, adhering to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 standards.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the nuclear design engineering field.
