Job Title

Single point contact, and provider of daily support for all things wiring related that are impacting the assembly plant. Work issues related to wire harnesses and be able to work with other QE's, Material, and DRE's. Supports problem solving wiring related issues seen in the plant. Manage audits and engineering updates and changes. Works directly with the plant Electrical Team to ensure issues are properly managed with a single point of contact.

Responsibilities include: Communicating across all departments, supporting GCA Electrical sufficiency, supporting all Electrical BoO elements, improving the process to support Electrical First time quality goal of 90.5%, supporting other Electrical team members as needed/directed, providing and communicating feedback on changes or updates to the wire harnesses for follow up, attending 5F and other plant meetings, working with wiring DRE's on problem solving related to wiring changes, working on continuous improvement, supporting GA repair on electrical diagnostics and root cause analysis, problem solving issues related to wiring and creating corrective actions to fix and contain, analyzing and measuring suspect harness components and utilizing 3D math data to verify measurements and engineering data, supporting electrical processes in finding electrical concerns and using best practices to troubleshoot, communicating electrical defects found at the end of line, leading electrical training courses, communicating with Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and Operators on the line about issues that come arise, conducting audits to verify rosebuds are being seated correctly and connections are being made correctly, supporting electrical problem solvers with defects found in the plant and working to resolve issues, working with repair with unknown codes to find root cause and work back the system, working with Industrial Engineers to ensure APS is correct with job elements, performing a discovery disconnect on a vehicle and recording all defects, providing a step-by-step guide for developing a Product Quality Standard (PQS) for Value Added Assembler (VAA) to ensure consistent quality and performance in vehicle assembly processes, writing PRTSs on wiring related issues found in the plant, writing SPPSs on defects from the supplies and communicating issues with supplier reps, and working with suppliers to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant in either Electrical or Plant Floor Operations, advanced problem-solving skills, advanced statistical analysis skills, advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture, understanding of the product quality standards, strong interpersonal and team building skills, strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated, and strong analytical ability.

Preferred Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Engineering, 7+ years of manufacturing experience, quality system knowledge of processes in manufacturing, strong analytical/problem solving skills with capability to identify solutions, thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements and how they impact the build process, ability to be flexible in daily tasks, thorough working knowledge of GMS as well supporting BIQ4 Deliverables, knowledge in GSIP and MERS, and understanding of engineering change process and PRTS's.
