Electrical Engineer – Onsite, Palo Alto, CA Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite, 5 days/week) Salary Range: $125,000 – $162,000 annually Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team developing and supporting our aesthetic medical laser systems . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, high-voltage/high-current design, and power electronics , with experience in the medical device industry highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electronic systems, including simulation and prototype builds
Select components with consideration for obsolescence, cost, and availability
Design PCBs using Altium Designer
Develop embedded controllers (ARM-based)
Design system wiring harnesses and cables
Perform hardware/software testing and system compliance testing
Conduct SMD rework and prototype assembly
Technical Expertise Required Power electronics: IGBT, MOSFETs, switching power supplies, constant current sources
Analog mixed-signal design: Op Amps, ADCs, DACs, instrumentation, signal conditioning
Embedded systems protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, microcontroller interfacing
Electro-mechanical systems: Robotics, actuators, motor control, kinematics
Magnetic circuits transformers
Pyroelectric detectors sensor interfacing
High-voltage high-current systems: Up to 1000 V, 400 Amps, 4 KW power levels
Qualifications BSEE degree required
5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
Experience with switching power supply design
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering team
Medical device or aesthetic laser system experience strongly preferred
Prior leadership or management experience is a plus
