Position Overview GTI Fabrication is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for containerized modular solutions and custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, signal processing, CAD design, and NFPA/UL standards. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept through completion. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for GTI’s prefabricated enclosures and modular units.
Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics, integration diagrams, and specifications.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex electrical issues in a fabrication or modular manufacturing environment.
Utilize CAD platforms such as SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical for electrical layout and design.
Develop FPGA designs and apply digital signal processing techniques to optimize electrical performance.
Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, 79, 855, UL 508A, UL 891, UL 9540, and other relevant codes and safety regulations.
Provide input during system design reviews and ensure all electrical systems meet technical and regulatory requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of scalable electrical design standards.
Assist in commissioning and field support activities as needed.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical design.
Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD software.
Strong working knowledge of NFPA and UL standards.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial power systems.
Understanding of signal processing and electrical system optimization.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV, or renewable energy applications.
Familiarity with low and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
Prior experience in containerized or modular manufacturing environments.
Working Conditions This is a full-time, on-site position located in our Goodyear, AZ manufacturing facility.
Standard office and production floor exposure; occasional field or site visits may be required.
Must adhere to all site-specific PPE and safety protocols.
