As an Electrical Engineer your most important qualities will be:
Program and Debug VFD, PLC and operator interfaces.
·Programs – Codesys, SQL, Ladder Logic
Experience with Industrial Power Drive
Familiar with NFPA 70- National Electric Code
ULMTR Certification - UL Licensing – company will pay for you to get it, if they don’t have it.
UL/CE/CSA - Familiar with the requirements
Familiar with ETC Program
Familiar with Power Systems Design
Troubleshooting in manufacturing and over the phone with customer
Customer interface experience
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer needs. Tasks include creating electrical schematics, power distribution designs, control systems, component selection, and feasibility studies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and technicians, to integrate electrical systems into products, driving innovation and implementing cost-effective solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure electrical systems' optimal performance, reliability, and safety. Analyze test data, propose design improvements, and modify designs as needed.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and user manuals, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Work with internal teams (manufacturing, sales, customer service) to provide technical support, resolve electrical issues, and assist with customer inquiries and product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required . Previous experience in electrical system design, especially in manufacturing, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of electrical principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and control systems. Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools is essential.
