Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Hartford, CT office. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to a wide variety of complex and engaging building and infrastructure projects.

Working under the direction of a Project Manager, this engineer will play a key role in the assessment, design, and specification of electrical systems for both new construction and renovation projects across multiple sectors. You’ll work collaboratively within a multi-discipline team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality, code-compliant engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct site investigations and condition assessments of existing electrical systems Design and specify power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems Support the development of construction documents including drawings and specifications Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil disciplines Ensure designs align with applicable building codes and client requirements Contribute to project planning, quality assurance, and technical documentation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering At least 3 years of relevant experience, previous consulting experience preferred EIT registration preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 year) Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit (BIM) experience strongly preferred Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and applicable State Building Codes Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
