Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG) creates all of KLA's metrology and inspection products. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides optical inspection systems for IC manufacturing, helping detect yield-critical defects at advanced process nodes with flagship products like the 29xx and 39xx series.
Job Description/Qualifications
As an Image Computer (IMC) team member, you will design, build, and test high-speed, high-throughput IMC systems using off-the-shelf and custom components.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all phases of FPGA design flow, from concept to tool integration.
Derive FPGA design requirements from system needs.
Handle RTL design, verification, and hardware bring-up.
Implement logic/control blocks, including filters, DSP/image processing, high-speed data paths, and interfaces.
Optimize FPGA designs for area, speed, and power.
Verify DSP/image processing against models and collaborate with systems engineers.
Use implementation tools like Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus, perform timing closure.
Validate FPGA designs in the lab and with lab equipment.
Collaborate with software engineers for integration.
Contribute to hardware development phases, including documentation and testing.
Validate FPGA designs for manufacturing release.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DSP and image processing datapaths.
Experience with FPGAs and related design flow.
Knowledge of hardware design and industry-standard interfaces.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Perl, Tcl.
Experience with EDA tools and timing closure techniques.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D., or Master's with 3+ years' experience, or Bachelor's with 5+ years' experience.
