Electrical Controls Engineer - Hybrid & Travel-Heavy Role

This is a great opportunity for a rising engineer with strong PLC and CAD skills who enjoys solving problems on-site and being hands-on with cutting-edge equipment.
In this role, you'll:
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs for custom automation
- Design electrical panels, wiring diagrams, and schematics using CAD tools
- Travel to customer sites to install, test, and debug systems
- Wire and debug equipment in-house prior to shipment
- Work closely with engineers and project leads on system improvements
- Assist with documentation, proposals, and training
What you'll bring:
- Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI platforms
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
- Ability to read schematics and perform hands-on wiring
- Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 70%)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
Bonus points for:
- Robotics or motion control exposure
- Structured Text or Ladder Logic programming
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools
