Job Overview:
Manages and supports cross-functional projects and process optimizations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals in terms of quality, cost, and timelines. Analyze financial and operational data to drive transparency, efficiency, and informed decision-making. Improving workflows, labor management, and workplace design through methodical evaluation and stakeholder collaboration. Additionally, supports the development and implementation of concepts, training, and continuous improvement initiatives across departments
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate projects, defining scope, schedules, and budgets. Oversee execution, ensure compliance with quality, cost, and timeline targets, and implement corrective actions as needed. Report regularly on project status
- Analyze and report on departmental and project budgets to ensure financial transparency and accountability. Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports that highlight key performance indicators, variances, and trends. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify budgetary risks and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions and strategic measures to optimize financial performance and support informed decision-making
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends and discrepancies. Present findings, support target-setting processes, recommend corrective actions, and monitor their implementation
- Compare target workforce with actual workforce. Initiate measures aimed at ensuring workforce equalization (e.g. redeployment, workforce expansion/reduction) and provide implementation support. Plan for future workforce targets and requirements based on project and product development
- Analyze operational and technical dependencies within specialist departments to identify root causes and constraints. Facilitate mutual understanding, promote expert knowledge, and encourage collaborative dialogue and solution development
- Design and refine concepts and processes based on key metrics and dependencies. Apply expertise to support implementation, represent solutions, and continuously improve methodologies such as MTM values
- Analyze complex, multi-party processes with numerous interfaces and variables. Compile findings, identify improvement opportunities using methods like MPS, and support implementation and communication of recommended measures
- Participate in planning for subsystems, considering ergonomic findings and optimal workflow. Present, evaluate alternatives, reconcile solutions, and monitor implementation
- Evaluate end-to-end work operations across systems, technologies, and cost centers. Optimize workflows, work content, and workstation design using labor management methods. Redefine and document processes, compare multi-machine cycles, and implement improvements based on workflow studies and stakeholder input
- Organize training and qualification measures on labor management topics and methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and best practices
Qualifikationen
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration or other related field
- 3 - 5 years of related working experience
- Project management knowledge
- Strong understanding of financial methods and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Technical knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes
- Solid understanding of lean production systems and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze and present complex data clearly and logically
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Familiarity with labor management systems and methods (preferred)
- Experience with workflow analysis and ergonomic workplace design (preferred)

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC has invested more than 500 million U.S. dollars in the new Sprinter plant, which officially opened in 2018. Today the MBV facility provides more than 1,600 jobs and supports at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 200,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S. since 2006.
