With a strong focus on guest experience, operational excellence, and growth, we are expanding our footprint and seeking a strategic training leader to elevate our restaurant operations nationwide.
The Director of Training – Restaurant Operations is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving enterprise-wide training initiatives across all restaurant locations. This role will lead the design and delivery of best-in-class training systems, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence for both existing restaurants and new openings. This leader will oversee a training team, partner cross-functionally with Operations and HR, and play a critical role in shaping company culture through impactful learning and development programs.
Key Responsibilities Evaluate and enhance existing training programs, incorporating best practices and measurable outcomes Lead training execution for all new restaurant openings, ensuring seamless launches and long-term operational success Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies and program rollouts Maintain accurate training records and reporting across all locations Oversee compliance training programs (Anti-Harassment, Food Safety, Alcohol Awareness, Heat Prevention, etc.) Establish protocols for remote training certification and auditing Ensure all training materials are current and aligned with regulatory standards Drive project plans for new openings, including timelines, staffing models, and budgets Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align training with company culture and operational goals Oversee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring effective on-the-job training Partner with Operations and HR leadership to align talent development with business needs Support recruiting efforts, including interviewing and hiring recommendations as needed Collaborate with Marketing to develop training materials, tools, and in-store educational assets
Qualifications 8+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations and/or training leadership 3+ years of experience managing direct reports Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) Prior experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager preferred Strong background in organizational development and corporate training environments Experience with Learning Management Systems (UKG, Schoox preferred) Proven ability to design and implement training programs from the ground up Strong project management, presentation, and analytical skills High attention to detail with exceptional follow-through Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
