o Onsite/ Remote Hybrid... Hybrid, CTC, remote Client mostly
Does this position require driving a Stellantis vehicle?
(Examples: Testing / Driving on a Track / Moving vehicle throughout the facility/ Moving vehicle to another plant location) - YES
Amount of travel, (if so, where): occasional, France, Italy, Brazil, Morocco. (My team is in all of those locations)
3 Candidate Questions to ask while discussing the position
1. Please describe the typical functions of the oxygen sensor in an engine exhaust system. How would you diagnose if an oxygen sensor was not performing correctly?
Anticipated response: Typical oxygen sensor functions include: measuring oxygen in the exhaust, providing feedback for the fuel control system, providing feedback for the exhaust gas through the catalyst, provide feedback for catalyst diagnostic or provide feedback for emissions control system. Any response that includes one of the above functions is acceptable. For diagnosing an oxygen sensor any response that includes using the oxygen sensor signal or oxygen sensor output is acceptable.
2. Please describe all of the list all, and give a brief description for the critical emissions, OBD and Controls requirements if you were responsible for launching a new emissions component on an engine.
Anticipated response: Any list of ideas the candidate thinks are important. Really looking for someone to think outside of the normal narrow focus of just OBD, or just emissions, or just Controls, or just calibration. Many times it is easy to answer from one of those areas, we are looking for someone who can step across those traditional boundaries.
3. Explain your experience with:
Remaining Useful Life modeling
Machine learning
Torque Security
Anticipated response: This question is to see if the candidate has any experience in these areas. If they do not, it is not an absolute requirement. However, candidates, that have experience here, are more desirable than ones that do not. If the candidate indicates, that the wish to gain experience in this area without being prompted, that would be very useful to know as well.
