Description Leidos invites you to apply for an exciting opportunity as a TS/SCI cleared DevOps Software Engineer to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to designing, developing, and deploying a cutting-edge technology stack for the DIA-NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a substantial 10-year contract supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization program. While most tasks are carried out on-site at the client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer flexibility in scheduling, with opportunities for remote work on occasion. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining a fully containerized microservices architecture, alongside system administration, installation, and configuration. You will champion a DevOps culture, promoting strong cross-functional collaboration with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams within a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will include working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of developers, software integrators, and system administrators on key tasks such as: Deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture based on Kubernetes, with an Elasticsearch backend and Kafka messaging system. Enhancing and refining CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes to boost development speed, improve error detection, and ensure robust deployments. Designing, developing, and supporting scalable and redundant infrastructure, encompassing both physical and virtual environments. Utilizing Helm for configuring Kubernetes deployments to meet new feature specifications. Collaborating with Systems Engineers to devise solutions for new features and requirements. Providing technical insights for systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models in conjunction with the Systems Engineering and Architecture teams. Participating in Agile release planning, scrum sessions, bug triage, design discussions, and other collaborative meetings. Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, systems engineering, or a similar domain; a Master's degree will satisfy the requirement with 6+ years of experience. Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the capacity to maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. Proficient in navigating Linux operating systems. Experienced in containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes. Skilled in CI/CD pipeline orchestration and adept with GitLab. Familiar with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Proven ability to engage in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution. To stand out even more, you may have experience with: Managing systems at scale. Applying key Agile processes and techniques. Programming in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, or Java. Working on production or enterprise systems. Specific technologies, including: Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS). Kubernetes monitoring tools like Prometheus/Graphana. GPU-based Kubernetes configurations. SALT for deployment automation. Helm and Helmfile. Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
