We are excited to invite a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team as a DevOps Engineer, specializing in Red Hat Linux. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of a robust platform-as-a-service offering. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will be overseeing the technical architecture to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. Note: This position requires on-site presence five days a week and a secret clearance. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain a scalable Platform-as-a-Service Infrastructure on RHEL and OpenShift Container Platforms, integrating essential components like data services, storage, networking, and security. Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions on a hybrid/private cloud-based platform. Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure robust security measures. Develop security incident response plans and procedures to safeguard our infrastructure. Create automation scripts and tools to enhance platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks. Deploy and manage systems utilizing VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems to protect our environment. Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools, emphasizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Employ monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds to maintain system integrity. Patch and manage systems through Red Hat Satellite Server. Understand networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls for effective integration. Troubleshoot and resolve service interruptions, providing on-call support when necessary. Offer hardware support for servers and workstations to ensure operational efficiency. Leverage cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to secure and maintain the environment/platform infrastructure. Minimum Requirements: An active Secret Clearance is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree or higher education is required; however, 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. US Citizenship is required without Dual Citizenship due to federal requirements. 10+ years of experience in the related field. Demonstrable experience with OpenShift is essential. Must hold either a Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). This is an on-site position, requiring presence at a government facility. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the facility located in Colorado Springs, CO. Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
